Heating & Plumbing Apprentice Job Description
Main duties to include, whilst mainly working alongside other engineers the following types of work:-
- Heating & plumbing work in domestic & commercial properties
- Carrying out annual boiler servicing
- Attending planned and un-planned urgent calls
- Completing Landlord gas safety inspections
- Fault finding & repair work to boilers, heating wiring, systems and controls
- Gas/Oil boiler replacements and heating system upgrades
- Underfloor heating installations & repair work
- Hot water cylinder replacements & vented to unvented system upgrades
- Heating installations and maintenance works
- Plumbing installations and maintenance works
You will need to be able to:
- Work with & help other Team members
- Show enthusiasm & be helpful at all times
- Treat customers’ & their property with the highest most respect
- Make your own travel arrangements to & from place of work each day
The customers’ property should be treated with the highest most respect, at all times, laying dust sheets around work areas and wearing shoe covers where required. Ensuring work areas are as clean on completion, as they were before you started.

Requirements, Qualifications & Experience
- Completed at least the first year of NVQ Level 2 plumbing apprenticeship
- Minimum 1 years’ working experience with a heating & plumbing company
- Ideally has own transport
