Heating & Plumbing Maintenance Engineer Job Description
Main duties to include, but not limited to, the following types of work:-
- Carrying out annual boiler servicing
- Completing Landlord gas safety inspections
- Fault finding & repair work to boilers, heating systems & controls
- Fault finding & repair work to underfloor heating
- Carrying out plumbing repair work
- Attending planned & un-planned urgent calls
- Work in domestic & commercial properties
You will need to be able to:
- Work independently & with other Team members when required
- Start and complete urgent jobs as requested with minimal notice
- Be willing to work overtime when required to complete urgent jobs
- Understand, deal with & resolve problems as described by the customer
- Ensure work is carried out efficiently & to give customer’s peace of mind
Work should be carried out to the highest standard, whilst ensuring customers’ requirements and regulations are met. Overcoming any problems that may arise during the job. The customers’ property should be treated with the highest most respect, at all times, laying dust sheets around work areas and wearing shoe covers where required. Ensuring work areas are as clean on completion, as they were before you started.

Requirements, Qualifications & Experience
- Plumbing & Heating Advanced NVQ Level 3 Diploma (or similar)
- CCN1, CENWAT1, CKR1, HTR1, Unvented Cylinders
- LPG & OFTEC desirable
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in installation & maintenance work
Key Performance Indicator’s (KPI’s)
As part of the job position we will be looking for the successful applicant to meet these KPI’s:
- Jobs to be completed to ensure safety, reliability and efficiency
- Jobs to be completed to ensure minimal call backs, of no more than 1 in 25 jobs
- To ensure all work is carried out to meet current regulations, good working practices & our company standards
- To have an excellent knowledge of fault finding and system wiring
- To meet the Company culture and standards at all times
